Fire detection and alarm
The fire detection and alarm systems offered by GMB Computers are designed to promptly and accurately identify and warn of a fire, protecting lives, assets and infrastructure. They comply with all applicable legal requirements and with the technical regulations and requirements of the competent authorities.
The typical components of fire detection and alarm systems are:
- Fire detection control panel – the hub of the system components that controls its operation;
- Smoke detector – the device connected to the control panel, responsible for detecting any early signs of fire and sending the corresponding signals to the panel;
- Repeater panel – a peripheral device that allows the user to operate the system remotely when the operator is not physically in the same room as the control panel.
- Alarm transmission equipment (communicators) – equipment that takes signals from the control panel and forwards them to predefined recipients, such as a rapid response monitoring center, firefighters, etc.
- Audible/visual warning devices – devices that signal the beginning of a fire through sound and/or warning lights;
- Manual call point – can be activated in an emergency by breaking the protective glass to prevent accidental use.
